This mild mannered little fella is a recent newcomer to Bear Thicket. He is a mini aussie that loves to play fetch with balls large and small. However, his favorite toy is his frisbee and he has become quite talented in tracking and nabbing that flying disc out of mid-air.
He lost his big sister aussie (pictured below) late last year so he is now man of the house. He has become friends with the stray cat that lives in the back yard.

This girl was definitely a sweetheart. She was a full size aussie that came to Bear Thicket as a re-home. She had a very outgoing personality and truely a friend to all. She passed unexpectedly due to cancer near the end of 2022. We miss her a lot. More pics on the "Honors" page.
Anyone missing tennis shoes?
These hounds were part of a three pup litter dumped on a nearby road. They found Bear Thicket and just refused to leave. On the third day, I sent this picture to my better half at work. It was very funny, until somebody figured out this was NOT MY tennis shoes that had been drug from the front porch to the dog kennel.
Sadly, both of these hounds passed away in 2021. One early in the year and one late in the year. They lived full lives reaching about 14 years of age. The peronsality of the tan colored hound was very even keel and nothing ever bothered her. The black hound was very smart, sharp as a tack. They will be sorely missed. More pics on the "Honors" page.
